Post Specifications and Conditions
The EvoLLLution is first and foremost a community. As such, our content is driven exclusively by the interests of our members. We are happy to accept posts of any format from qualified individuals so long as it is preceded by a proposal.
We are committed to discussing continuing education, workforce development and other forms of non-traditional learning and are open to any piece looking at some facet of this concept. This may come in the form of a research article, opinion piece, serious anecdote, humorous list, or anything else that you feel is appropriate. We are also able to accommodate most forms of rich media.
Please feel free to propose a post on anything that interests you as it relates to lifelong learning and non-traditional education. We respect that opinions may differ, and will never stifle editorial content unless it is libellous or slanderous.
Because we have such a diverse group of contributors, we have not imposed one uniform style guide. However, should you wish to include references, please use the Chicago citation style. We also ask that all pieces subscribe to common grammatical conventions and are written in a clear, informal style free of jargon. We reserve the right to make minor grammatical/stylistic changes without contacting the author. However, we will be sure to discuss any other proposed changes with the author prior to publication.
We do not impose a word limit on pieces, as we want to be sure that contributors are able to fully express themselves. Editors may however suggest that longer pieces be broken down into a series or that shorter pieces be grouped with others of a similar theme.
We will occasionally accept material that has been published elsewhere (for example, we welcome book excerpts from authors), however, you must be clear that you are not submitting original material. On submitting the article, you warrant that all the facts contained therein are true and accurate, that it does not infringe another’s copyright or proprietary rights and does not violate any person’s right of privacy, and that the article has not been published, in whole or in part, by any publication other than the original.
By submitting, you give The EvoLLLution the exclusive right to any submitted content for 30 days from publication. After 30 days, you give The EvoLLLution a non-exclusive and irrevocable license in perpetuity to republish or repurpose the article or any other submitted or approved materials in print, online, through syndication, or in any other form, manner, format, or medium, whether now known or hereafter developed, directly or through others, and to include the article in electronic archives and databases. You will be deemed to have accepted these terms upon submission of your article.
If you have any questions, or to submit your idea for consideration, please contact us through the form.
